CSE as a human right

Access to inclusive comprehensive sexuality education is an essential human right. There areĀ international human rights mechanismsĀ that work to ensure nations and governments donā€™t violate the essential rights of young people across the globe. CSE is covered under three different human rights bodies:

Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

right to education

Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC)

right to education that promotes health and well-being

International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD)

right for individual to make decisions about their own sexuality and reproduction, free from coercion, discrimination, and violence

Inclusive CSE curricula

There are many organizations that have developed inclusive CSE curricula and offer trainings for educators, including:

Bisexual and pansexual resources for youth and those serving them

Monitoring opposition and combating mis- and disinformation

These resources address opposition or misinformation about comprehensive sexuality education as well as bisexual and pansexual people and communities.
