Director, Ipas Nepal
Jagadishwor Ghimire leads Ipas’s work in Nepal. He has more than 16 years of experience in the public health sector and is deeply committed to improving the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and girls through enhanced access to safe abortion and contraceptive care.
Ghimire joined Ipas in 2020 as deputy director of Ipas Nepal. Prior to that, he worked with UNFPA Nepal, CARE Nepal, Population Services International/Nepal and other international public health organizations, focusing on family planning, gender-based violence, and other sexual and reproductive health and rights issues. He has a master’s degree in public health (MPH) and a master of arts degree in sociology from Tribhuvan University in Nepal.
