Hayford Mensah is the Chief Financial Officer for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), a national organization that advocates for the rights of unaccompanied migrant and refugee children in the United States. Funded by the Microsoft Corporation and UNHRC Special Envoy Angelina Jolie, KIND addresses the needs of these children and the systemic causes of forced migration. Mensah formerly was the Chief Financial Officer of HIAS, which works around the world to protect refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands. He has worked in accounting and finance for several other global and U.S. organizations. Originally from Ghana, he has an MS in finance from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Ghana.
